THERE IS A GOD
We believe there is one God who is the all-powerful, all-knowing Creator of everything; A spirit who is eternal and infinite. He transcends all space, time, and understanding, yet, He is personally and actively involved in even the smallest elements of His creation, including our lives. God is Holy, and is the source and standard for morality, justice and love.
God is the Father of creation; He became a full-fledged human as the man Jesus Christ, and He is the Holy Spirit who is involved in our lives and can fill our hearts.

JESUS CHRIST IS GOD
We teach that Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God. In other words, the eternal, immortal Spirit of God, as an act of love towards humanity, chose to become a mortal human being so that He could take the punishment we deserved for our sins. He is fully God and fully man, completely subject to the human condition, yet without sin.

THE BIBLE IS GOD'S WORD TO US
We teach that the Bible, also known as the “Word of God,” is God’s revelation of Himself to mankind. We teach that because God exists, so does objective truth, and the Bible is the flawless authority on this truth. We turn to the Bible for answers to all of life's greatest questions. In it, we learn how to have a relationship with Him, and we find instructions on how to live our lives in peace and harmony with Him and one another through our words, attitudes, and lifestyle. In it, we find the wisdom of God for every day life.

ALL HAVE SINNED BUT JESUS GIVES GRACE
We teach that everyone is a sinner, as Romans states, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” The Bible further tells us that the consequence of sin is eternal death and separation from God.
But there is hope. The Gospel is the good news of Jesus’ triumph over death. Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, was crucified and died for our sins. He was buried in a tomb and rose again three days later, overcoming sin and death on our behalf.
This means a restored relationship with God is now made possible by grace, and we can receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
We teach that salvation is by grace alone, obtained through faith and obedience, not by our own works or goodness.
We show faith and obedience by personally identifying with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection through repentance, water baptism in Jesus’ name, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit as evidenced by speaking in tongues.

IN CHRIST WE HAVE NEW LIFE
We believe that by the power of God's grace and the Holy Spirit we receive, we are made new and can live a Spirit-led life. We no longer have to make the same mistakes. Our decisions, our behavior, and our lives are shaped by our relationship with God. By cultivating a dynamic and personal relationship, our lives start to mirror Christ’s character.
We encourage everyone to build a relationship with God and to grow in that relationship on both a personal and church level. And to allow God to constantly change, transform, and challenge us through a daily process of discipleship through prayer and reading God's Word.
The Bible also tells us that the Holy Spirit has given us each unique gifts and abilities. These gifts are to be used to to strengthen and uplift believers as well as provide encouragement that God is among us.

OUR MISSION IS LOVE
We teach that, as Christians, we are to love God and love others. Scripture tells us that all men will recognize us as Christians based on the love we show toward one another.
At Solid Rock Church, we believe it is our mission to show the love of God we have received to everyone we meet. God's love for every person is unconditional, and he has commissioned us to take that message of unconditional love to the world.
